What’s That Smell?

We’re letting you in on an insider tip that could save your vacation. If you’re noticing “an electrical and/or chemical burn” smell in or around your RV, you’re toast! That means your batteries are cooking themselves. And new batteries can be costly! Here’s how to take care of your RV batteries and avoid a ghastly maintenance error on the road. Keep a gallon of distilled water in your RV, along with a turkey baster (or the pictured battery syringe). Regularly add distilled water to your battery by filling each water cell around the battery using a turkey baster to squirt the water into the narrow cells. You’ll thank us later!
